§ 2-208. Compensation.

The treasurer shall receive compensation in the amount provided from time to time by the city council in accordance with law. If one person serves as both city clerk and city treasurer, he shall be paid a salary for both such positions as provided by the city council. If such person shall be a councilmember of the city, then the salary for city clerk or city treasurer, or both, shall be in addition to his salary as councilmember.
